Brocantes (flea markets)

In the summer it's worth looking out for Brocantes, which take place in most local villages. These events are a hybrid of flea markets and car-boot sales – people come and sell second hand bits and bobs from trestle tables and there is usually an amazingly random selection of stuff to be picked up including plenty of bargains! It's always a fun way to spend a morning and visit a new place.

The dates of forthcoming brocantes can be found on this website www.http://brocabrac.fr.

Also look out for signs at the side of the road!
